Biomechanical Assessment
A biomechanical assessment is performed to ensure that your muscles, ligaments and nerves are working efficiently and as they should be. Irregular biomechanics can lead be contributing factors to pain of lower limbs such as legs, knees, ankles and feet. In some cases, poor biomechanics can also lead to back pain.
Our podiatrists will comprehensively evaluate the alignment and function of your gait and biomechanics to determine the best method to help alleviate your pain or discomfort.
Treatment can vary from patient to patient but can include:
- Orthotic therapy
- Mobilisation
- Dry needling
- Taping/strapping (generally short term relief)
